Who We Are?

Anglo Congolese Association (ACA-DRCongo),is a non-profit organization committed to empowering youth and communities by strengthening their educational, economic, and social capacities in order to promote sustainable development.

It works to develop young leaders as agents of change, while promoting the English language as a lever for opportunities and international engagement.

We support vulnerable children access quality, inclusive, safe, gender-responsive education and learning. We promote as well sustainable solutions to lift caregiver out of poverty and secure their livelihoods for sustainability in child education.

We empower communities to safeguard nature, promote environmental conservation, and fight climate change through sustainable, community-driven practices. By planting trees, protecting ecosystems, promoting energy efficiency, and advancing renewable energy, we help local communities build a greener, more resilient future and strengthen their capacity to withstand climate-related challenges.

We creates collaborative workspaces to support teacher innovation, preparation, and global connectivity. We fosters interdisciplinary cooperation and enhances curriculum development.

The English Club for Change empowers youth through English learning activities, leadership development, and language competitions. With support from the U.S. Embassy, it nurtures a new generation of English-speaking Congolese, prepared to seize global opportunities.

The Peace Building Initiative empowers youth in central and eastern DR Congo with skills in dialogue, problem-solving, and conflict prevention. It fosters reconciliation and drives social change to promote lasting peace and sustainable development.

The Women Program empowers vulnerable girls and child in DR Congo through education and skill development. It addresses gender-based violence and empower women for economic opportunities.

The Youth Tech & Business Center Program empowers young Congolese by strengthening their capacities in technology and business. Through targeted training, the Hub prepares youth for employment and entrepreneurship, equipping them with the competencies required to succeed in an increasingly digital economy.

I have made a tour all over the DRCongo but couldn't find an organisation that aims at promoting the English language by addressing other social issues that are affecting young congolese as the ACA is doing.

I will not forget  Bukavu !
